Everyone on our team enjoyed the event

Remarks have been made that some of the 'big games' fees are, lets say,a tad to much for what you get ;)

None of these remarks were aimed at the Stargate event but it seems he's taking it a bit personally

The Warp Big game in May,N vs S set the standard at £50 and it seems that everyone has followed suit, well 800 odd players can't be wrong can they ;)
Some games didn't have the facilities like Warp had,the trade stands, the party before hand etc, they were using sites that were already up and running so costs in building new structures etc didn't need to be taken into consideration but still charged the £50
The Fennys bash at £25 was one of the best the team has been on so far this year, something to be learnt from that me thinks ;)

Bully this was a brilliant day and I say bollics to what other people have said about the event. So far I have heard notone bad word about the event. So a few people might havesaid a few things but I bet a hundred to one would say it was a great event. I came down with 20 people and every one had a great day ! I spoke to a hell of a lot more who loved it as well !! You say they complain about the way it ws organised ? Jesus best part of 500 people makes the event a big game not a piss poor show that some events have shown.

My hat goes of to Bully for the event !!!!!!!!!!

Out of interest, what were the exact comments?

i'll put my hand up to being one of those "offenders".

my comments started on the lines that some games were getting expensive, and if prices went up to this level across the board next year then i would need to drop an outing.

what was also said was that the feeling was some games were putting onprices that seemed too high. i made referecne to a couple of very big games that cost £45-£50 and to some smaller games at £25-£30 and asked "why can they do it?".

i made some (perhaps) naive assumptions about costs and profits and asked for some help in explaining why.

all credit to bully in his reply, that all profits were reinvested in the site and on improving the game for the following years event.

i am happy to be set straight.

my comments on price were that if costs of tickets continued to rise then i may have to cut a game from next years outings.

i made NO comments to equate QUALITY with PRICE. some games have been expensive and excellent, some not so good - i will not name names as it had nothing to do with my points.

Compered to a taxi home from a night on the drink Bully's event was a bargain. The cost involved are monsterous and I m gutted and so are around 40 - 50 people I know that there is not an event next year. Bully if I had the time spare I'd play an event like Staargate at your site every month.

From the crowd that came from Universal and there was a lot in total thank you for the hard work and please have a re think !!

theres been a lot of crap on all the forums about the price of scenario games and big games etc, i would just like to clear up that we charged £25pp for our game because that that what it justifies for our site, we are not in the league of the big games and havnt got the overheads, some players have no ideas what it costs sites to host these games or the time involved.

that said all people have a choice to go to what events they want to.

steve bull and al have pulled out of there events next year which is a big loss to the uk scenario scene which is very sad.
cheers
