I've changed a lot on my Ion and its turning into a nice backup marker - As far as problems go , I've not had that many and find that as long as you are reasonably gentle with it when you are servicing it, its fine.

i upgraded my ion with redz barrel (haha)
blue lady hybrid grips
t-board
qlock feedneck
and sum virtue eyes

trigger is in to tight to change lol

and even though i spent money on it i still hate it

=]

dont buy ions they WILL cause more trouble than they are worth
Only if you cant look after it properly.

Mine gave me no problems that I hadn't caused myself.

Yeah I did it (Cheers Sid;)), it was fun and I learned alot about the Ion ( I called mine the Lucky EOn, as it had alot of eclipse/lucky stuff on it)

I got rid of it thou as I couldn't iron out the problems and as it was supposed to be my back up I got something more reliable.

Cheers

P.S. If you want to be completely Smart Parts free you will need one of these frames http://www.element-paintball.com/index.php?cPath=20_16
As (when I did it) it was the only way to replace the front banjo.
