I've changed a lot on my Ion and its turning into a nice backup marker - As far as problems go , I've not had that many and find that as long as you are reasonably gentle with it when you are servicing it, its fine.

my ion had some teething problems (due to me mostly) but once set up nicely it ripped and still does.
my ions is also reaching the stage were its cost more than my ego

..i know all to well that i'd be lucky to get £150 for it, probably more like £120!
...but i'll never sell it cos it was my first marker (at least some of it was
) and its awesome
I think Ion's are great from the 'upgrading' point of view.Plus they can be modded into a variety of weapons
Yeah I did it (Cheers Sid), it was fun and I learned alot about the Ion ( I called mine the Lucky EOn, as it had alot of eclipse/lucky stuff on it)
I got rid of it thou as I couldn't iron out the problems and as it was supposed to be my back up I got something more reliable.
