Any advice on this would be really helpful!

So. This has sat on my shelf for almost a year, and, surprisingly enough it hadn't miraculously started to work since the last time I put it down .

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h84/92rt095/marker2.jpg

Just think of it as a shocker, because it's using a shocker solenoid and internals, just a different board (no vision board though, solenoid is plugged directly into the board, as will the eyes be, when I've made another set because the other ones are broken)

The only problem is supposedly had before was lack of a solenoid.
So, I've got a new solenoid, tested it, soldered it, plugged it in, definitely working (clicks when you pull the trigger eyes off).

I go to air it up. I didn't know what the reg was set to (no gauges, no way of measuring), so I turned it all the way down, and increased it by a few turns whilst pulling the trigger. Nothing happens.
It makes all the normal noises whilst airing up, but there's no 'firing' noise at all, and the bolt doesn't move at all.

The only way I've made it do something, is by unscrewing out the right-hand solenoid insert while aired up. A leak starts, but when you fire, there is a quiet firing noise too.

I went through everything testing that it worked, the reg does, the board, the solenoid.

Just wondering about the solenoid inserts now. I read up on ZDSPB about them, but it just said they had to be flush with the body if a stock body, or 2/3 turns inside if a PL body. (I think it started as a stock body, I can't imagine anyone wasting a PL body to mill it down like mine has been)

I should have started with a working shocker to begin with, but I didn't, I just collected all the parts and threw them together, hoping it would work .

The first thing I need help with is the ion reg. How many +PSI is one 360 degrees clockwise turn (of the bottom nut)? (I have searched and looked through ZDSPB but can't find out. I know the operating pressure is 180-200 though)

Cheers
Rosie

"WHEN GASSED UP, LITTLE OR NO AIR SEEMS TO BE GETTING TO THE SHOCKER.
— Degas, then remove internals. Check for o-ring binding, grease with Dow 33, then reinstall.(Nope)
— The bolt sleeve is in backwards. Remove and replace with the flared end facing towards the
rear of the Shocker. (Nope)
— The fire chamber is in backwards. Remove and replace with the dual o-ring end facing towards
the front of the Shocker.(Nope)
— Pilot on solenoid may be clogged. Clean or replace pilot.(not this, new solenoid, saw the smart parts man get it out of a bag)
— Bolt may be jammed, check for paint shell or debris. (doubt it's this; perfectly clean interals)"

I'll be going through these too.
If there's anything else, feel free to suggest.

Also, the battery is fine.

like ive just wrote in the pm, clean and regrease, replace moving o-rings (if you need a video i have one)

check reg is blowing air through.

i can also sort you out with a ion/nxt reg maintenane video if you need it. reg may just need a clean.

Reg is definitely working fine (I unscrewed it from the body and turned the air on, whilst it was turned down, air came through fine).
I'll go through all that stuff then
cheers!

next step is to take the bolt guide out and air it up, make sure you have degassed before trying to unscrew the bolt guide, this makes sure that enough air is getting through the whole assembly.

also have you checked your dwell. average for a shocker is around 12-14ms

I took out the guts (bolt guide, bolt sleeve & bolt), and lubed them & checked the o-rings (all good; new, no need to replace) aired it up (without those parts in), and there's definitely air getting to the body because there's a loud hissing (coming from somewhere, possibly from under/through the firing chamber or therabouts.

I need to know if the reg's at the right psi though (because it could just be that, I'm scared of turning it up too high and blowing something)...I have no idea where it's at.
I have an ego reg that I know's roughly at 300-350 (the 05ego operating pressure), but again, if someone could tell me how many full turns of the allen key = 200psi, I would be pretty grateful.

im currently uploading a ion reg video that should help you. if your still having issues the regulator is not the problem.

have you got another gun with a guage to put the reg on as regulators are standard thread so can be switched out.

and if theres still more issues bring it to me at the UKM7 if your there, ill have all my crap for fixing the world with

Ok, cheers for the video.

Have an ego reg, but nothing with a gauge on (I have an evolve gauge, but unless that will screw in somewhere, that won't work)

I'll try get myself there then, cheers, or to an event where the warped stand is.
It's annoying, they're only 10 min down the road from me right now ;), but I'm moving house tomorrow so my parents probably won't be too happy taking me up there today.

i know all the way to the bottom is around 100psi and everything is backwards, im also a bit better than warped when it comes to shockers, they jsut have more parts

Cool cool cool, you it is then.
Nothing I'm doing is going to make it work, so, I'll put it away and wait 'till I can see someone, I'm just getting a wee bit annoyed with it.
