Angel Speed 05 broke, but why?

Hey guys. Just started shooting an Angel Speed 05 and it appears to be broke. There are several things not going as they should.

1. Eyes dont work/dont work well enough. Basically when the eyes are "on", they are either coming on too weakly to be detected by the sensor on the other side or they dont come on at all. Gay.

2. Gun turns itself off. while shooting/attempting to get the eyes working i noticed that holding the grips a certain way causes the gun to turn off and then turn back on again, this is not good. Looking at it inside the battery case has a small crack in the bottom corner and is missing a screw to hold the bottom of the battery case in the frame. I dont know if this is causing it though because it only turns off when you press near the top of the grips (somewhere in the region of the top curve on the angels wings). This is slightly more of a concern to me than the eyes not working. What has made me worry even more is that it has started to turn off without the eyes on and without pressure being applied to the grips. Turning the eyes off and firing whilst rotating the gun about its barrel seems to cause it to turn off, but only sometimes.

Things i have already tried:

1: Clean the eyes and the barrel out properly. The eyes were removed as per instructions as well.

2: Resolder the connection to the eyes incase it had cracked off.

3: Clean the inside of the grips out.

4. Tape the battery into the housing.

Can anybody give me any advice on this? If not I could do with knowing how much it would cost to have it properly serviced as i'm strapped for cash and need to start putting money aside for it. Thanks for your help guys.

which software does it have, do you have ramping, are the eyes visible i.e. red. Early boards had a shutting off issue which was resolved by re-flashing the boards software.

i always used cardboard with my 9vs to make sure there was plenty of pressure on the connectors, but sounds about the same to taping..

think software is v.4 no ramping that i know of. Didnt see any corrosion on the contacts and gave the whole thing a good clean. Im completely stumped. Thinking the two probs may be unrelated, possibly get a new eye wire to fix the first? Also yes the eyes are very bright and visible when on, noticably not so when not working properly as either very dim or off. They are red if that makes any difference :D.

Not sure if this maybe relevent, probably Tom will add more to this, but one of my mates has taken shots around his trigger and had eye problems with his A4. The only way to cure it was to take the board out, and use a few cotton buds to swab the greasy suface off the components and blast compressed air all around it. Basically, he had cleaned the eyes over and over, and had eye problems for game after game.

As for the rotation of you maker and malfunction, I'm almost definatly sure it's lose wires, or one of the cores damaged.

Personally, I would take the whole electrics out, and lay them on a piece of white paper and have a close look at the parts and wiring closely with a magnifing glass, followed by using a multimeter to path test the ends of the wires from a point on the board conected, to the plugs.

Good points there, also make sure the battery is good. With the eyes scrape back the covering off the tracks about a millimeter from the eyes and resolder, this is a common break point. Be carefull with the soldering and don't let the temperature get too high, led's can be damaged by too much heat. It would be a good idea to get the board flashed to the current software level, lips can do that for you.
