i wouldnt snap like that if you take good care of it....hes obviously just tripped over and dug it in the ground..causing it to snap...hence the oversized earth lump on the gun

If he were 'taking care' of it, he would never use it to play with; that's what they're built to take, abuse from diving, etc.
And it didn't snap. Hense the lack of a story talking about a huge gash on his hand. Because the metal just bent instead of snapping, therefore it didn't expose any raw edges, which woulda caused even more damage.
If that came off wrong it was the wine's fault.
Such a shame to see "damaged gats", I think that I'm happy now that if I embed my gun into the ground or bunker etc that my hand/wrist/arm/face
