Not owning an Ion myself just tried, I can say their reasonable for the price. What I can't understand, is that daft little things like the feedneck and switch were kak from the box and S.P. never changed the design. I can't think why as the upgrades to Ion are not all patented to S.P. so their not making more money on spares.
Maybe their is an oppurtunity for a mouldmaker to make his fortune on ion upgrades.

On topic. I hate mud!!!!!!

Smart parts make an upgrade feedneck. Plus the epiphany has a new design of button. Makes sense to me to save every penny on the stock versions of those parts.

I own an Ion myself. But I totally sympathise with Ion haters.

In the past I have spent alot of money, on guns which were much more expensive, but had worse, or similar performance than the Ion.

The Ion has very little recoil, is gentle on paint, quiet. The list goes on.

When upgraded its at the top of the class in these areas.

If id spent alot of money on the latest (insert top of the line marker here) Id hate the Ion too.

I think a prediction for any... I hate something thread is that Ion's are mentioned and that it degenrates into a site paint prices debate....

I hate mud becuase it aint always mud.. it tends to be stones, twigs, broken paint pots, and my worst experience, a partially buried small tree stump.

Just after Chrismas, when walkon guys have all the nice shiny new guns and clobber, and start showing of their smack talking skills, flinging paint at baracades just before breakout. Then, all of a sudden they seen to stand behind you like sheep and lose all their nerve and have no idea what to do and don't want to get stuck in... They do my head in...Why does it always seem like theres always more on our side than the other:mad:

I'm a walk-on mainly, but don't typify this walk-on attitude. See this a lot from people who have the 'cough' mil-sim AK47/P90/M16 look-a-like 'cough', whilst wearing camo that just about keeps the beer belly in.

Paintball walk-ons for me are all about telling everyone to get the fcuk out of my way whilst I try and run to the mid-point of the area to keep the other teams head down whilst the guys who are carrying more gear than a paratrooper on d-day catch up quickly without soiling themselves.

So I agree I hate these people as well. Especially the ones with green Ion's!!:D
