I had the most chronic time with parents and not letting me ball (ask Dark Warrior and some of the my other old team mates). Basically over the money it costs etc ... Once I owned my own equipment they couldn't rightly stop me playing and now I get full support in the events I do (not money wise because I have to show my own independance in that department). But they rarely stop me doing anything seems as though im fully financing everything.

As for other people I just say "Yes I play paintball." and leave it there, let them have their own views of you dressed in a ghillie suit commando rolling around the forest floor. :)

To Be honest as soon as they see paintball as some form of major evented sport thats available easily by the masses we will always be rambo or spending too much money on things

:( my dad doesn't approve, and he doesn't really have any leisure activity that i can relate balling to, so i have no comebacks.

Just do it anyway, and ignore them until you're sufficiently ahead in your gaming to say "this is what i've achieved, and my team is successful"

That's what i'm aiming for anyway...
