Whats the optimum settings for an out of the box PMR?

Also, i can set it to run at 30bps, with without air you can hear the solenoid ticking away at i guess that speed.
when i connect air it kinda splutters and just the solenoid ticks.
Is it that the air cannot supply at that rate or is there maybe a problem with my PMR?

Please & Thankyou! :D

given it a whirl. Bob, you a star :D works a treat.
My new PMR worked well at the stock setting of 25. Taking good advice I knocked the dwell down three clicks to 22 after shooting a box and letting the reg bed in, and it worked intermittently.

Knocked the dwell back up and it seemed to shoot fine.

However, I hear that the PMR can be a fussy with regarding lube. Too much or too little and it will cough and splutter.

As ARG has 'kindly' stated in another thread, I had a few problems last week, and put mixed amounts of lube in to try and make the thing work, but in the end it was the dwell that let me down. My bad for messing about I suppose.

so it looks as though the stock dwell setting is the way to go, makes sense really.
When lubing I only give a light coating to the orings, with very little excess. hope this is about right???

Pmr

A light lubing is about right I'm told, as too much will clog it up. On the o-ring that sits 'on top' and outside of the bolt assembly, you need to put a bit more on that apparently to help with the seal.

I'm told you can knock the dwell down once the hyper2 reg has bedded in, which makes sense, but currently my PMR doesnt like it.

I've been told to adjust the pin in my ASA that releases the air into the PMR reg, as it might have been pressing in to far or too little and not letting the full HP pressure into the reg, and I also have to re-lube the bolt, so I'm gonna do all of that and then see if I can lower the dwell again, which would increase efficiency.

You're welcome :D :D :D

You sorted it in the end though and was a happy bunny again :)
I'm always a happy bunny. Just at the time things werent working I was a very angry phsyco happy bunny.

I have to say the PMR rocks. After I fixed it they stuck me behind the coke can and left me to it. Had a whale of a time letting rip at all the mil-sims. I felt like one of the german machine gunners at Omaha in Saving Ryans privates. (Not very pc but oh well)
