how many worthwhile fills are you likely to get from a 232bar 12lt dive tank filling a 1.1lt bottle?
just curious
On here you will find thread after thread on this subject so use your search button.

But... cos Im bored it would go something like this. First few fills would be at pressure, then it would drop slowly until you wonder why you bother, but a dive tank should give you a good days balling unless you have a very expensive paint bill for the day.

If a few of you can pool together a few tanks, it's best to use one till the pressure drops, then use that as a bulk fill and the 2nd as a top up, and if you have a 3rd then that as a top up to the top up when the 2nd tank pressure drops. Using this method you would get near full pressure fills for most of the day.

Mine tends to get me through a day then give me between 1500 to 2000psi fills for a while after for dry firing, shooting paint down the garden, maintenance, that kind of thing. I have a 12 litre 232 bar tank. I got it at a good price used, but if I was buying from new, I would buy a 12 litre 300bar.

I always use search before posting, i couldnt find anything that suited my question. so i thought i would ask in this Fresh thread on a very similar subject :D
Maybe i have poor search techniques and someone will no doubt find a thread with the exact answer i was looking for.
I am also at work, am very bored, unmotivated and wanted to chat to someone :D

Thanks, i think a couple of 12lt or 15lt 300bar bottles would do 4 of us quite nicely :D

you might struggle to get a 15litre 300bar as they are a bit on the rare side, 300bar bottles are by their natuire more expensive than a 232 and you can only use a DIN fill rig on a 300bar bottle.

Out of interest I have a 232 12litre tank for sale, will accept din or A clamp fittings, brand new test (2.5 years to the next one) and pillar valve, after about £80 collection only as it's damn heavy. Would be supplied with an air fill.

There is a fishing shop near my me that fills up 3000psi air systems. They have the fitting to fill it up but they never have any air. They use a scuba tank to fill bottles but they never have enough to fill 3000psi because they never have paintball customers. I take it they use it for other things aswell I suppose.

I always get my air bottle filled up before I leave parks and koths. I tend to use my marker at home in the garden but the air never lasts more than 3 days....

I was recommended getting an Scuba tank and getting the fill station ect. So I went to the shop that filled bottles by this and it looked a bit dodgy and complicated the way they were doing it.

I know most Paintball places fill their tanks by Air Compressors. Now I recently borrowed one from my friend next door and it only reaches 200psi.

Are there certain air compressors that will reach 3000psi and can I get the fitting for them?
The fishing place is probably supplying air fills for air rifles. Your mates compressor is probably for air tools / paint spraying and most likely runs at 6 bar. Your best bet is your local diving shop / site.
