They are old markers mate but a hell of a lot of fun to play with, yes they are slow and useless inn todays tournies (bar pump ones) but they are a bit of fun thats all

Its how paintball guns used to be before the development of semi's and electro markers.
I guess some people like to play a game where a few well placed balls are as good as ropes of paint from an electro

Pump markers were the predecessors to the mechanical semi-autos which in turn developed into the electronic markers we use today.
Its a bit like saying what is the purpose of the steam train or propellor-driven aircraft?
