i've been thinking exactly the same thing  i'm not sure if it'll actually damage the marker if you try and remove it and/or if you can remove it in the 1st place

Which part of the marker are you refering to? If you're going to be getting it Anno'd the anno job will only be applied the parts sent to be anno'd i.e. body, grip frame, barrel etc and any internal working parts will be removed before the process.

I'm due to have my Mini anno'd soonish pending I decide to keep it and dont shift it before.

he recomends u dont remove it, team repair kit comes with raplacent orings/gaskets for this

as far as im aware annodising increases a barrel bore by .001,please feel free to correct me if im wrong
working on those principles anodising this part will increase the gaskets housing by .001, the oring /gasket should cover this ,i doubt they are made to a .001 tolerance of each other anyway

watch this tech video http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Ynf1P1XdT8w and fastforward to 7:40, you can see what they call the rubber manifold seal  and it also says you cannot remove it
Shouldn't and Cannot are two very different things. Come on... JT tell you to replace your lens after every direct hit to the noggin... If you really want a decent anno job and you're commited you simply find a replacement seal. :)
