Eclipse E-tek stock detents wear out too fast.

Love me e-tek, i dont need to tell you its a great machine but whats the crack with the rubber nubin detents, I've had the e-tek a month and ive had to replace two of them. i no longer have any spares.

I havent been dry firing the gun, just shooting loads of reballs as i have a dive tank.

I was advised to grease the bolt detent recess, and ive done that

I know you can get kila magnetic detents (that supposidly dont wear out) but the only place you can get em is on ebay... and i ordered a trigger from the guy selling them (last week). it hasnt arried yet and ive had no communication from him, so im not oredering kila detents till my triiger shows up.

The question i am posing is- why does such an excellent machine have such a simple weak point?

reballs will kill detents faster than real paint. I only changed the detents twice on my 07 ego and that was over two millenium events and at least 3 practice sessions per month.

Reballs are a higher friction surface. A mate of mine shot his 05 for 2 years and changed the detents twice so try lowering your LPR if its broken it too 1 360 screw in from flush.

Check that your eye covers are not bent, I used a e-tek that had a slightly off eye cover and it used 3 detents in one day due to them wearing down and causing chops.

Try puting a drop off lube in the bolt detent groves, this may help transition and reduce wear on them.

Just realised i made a mistake. The dude who hasnt delivered on my trigger on ebay is a different guy from the one selling detents... now then, black or blue? ordering now.

surely broken in?... ive shot 15l 3000psi dive tank worth of reballs so it must be broken in.

... the left detent went first, followed by the right a few days later which would then suggest that they're in right or there both f*cked, which i would think is unlikey

You ordered the trigger at 00:57 on the 23rd (thursday) The trigger was despatched on the friday at 14:50.
