Mythbusters rule uk....
If memory serves me correct, double flash means that you have pressed the on/off button whilst the Ion is on, and you have now switched the eyes off. It will now fire ignoring any input from the eyes. Pressing the on/off button again will switch the eyes back on again.
It is not a cleaning mode Karma my freind.
I think rapid flashing is when the eyes have detected a ball in the breach.
Try reading the manual for a start, and then if you want to play with it at home, make sure you marker is completely de-gassed and then switch the eyes on and off, and when the eyes are on, put something in between the eyes to see if it registers.
Also, the stock barrel is not as bad as 'jelly poo', but replacing it with a paint to bore matching system such as a freak will improve consistency and grouping of your shots. Accuracy can only be increased by the user.
ok... who asked the question is the Ion any good. Well.. for the money you pay for it you get a lot of marker. Easily upgradeable and reliable if treated and maintained with respect. 15bps out the box. Can't be bad. If you got more money to spend then spend it, from a quality point of view you do indeed get for what you pay for.
Oh, and I'm advised that the Ion ramping / rebound mode, whatever you want to call it, is not legal for some tournies as it aint true millenium, or psp, or whatever mode. Please someone correct me if I am wrong.
Right, hopefully some of the Ion myth's washed away for the moment....
