Doctor Who ‘Lords of Time’ SCPV Scenario 2007.

Timeline: August 2007 AD

Location: Advanced Weapons Testing Facility, UK.

Using ancient plans uncovered in an archaeological dig at an undisclosed location, a crack scientific team has built a revolutionary new type of weapon. Yet they are unable to explain why the small yield trials for the device have been so successful…

August 2007, North East England, a top secret underground test for a full yield device has been planned…

ALERT! ALERT! TORCHWOOD PRIORITY WARNING.

Something has gone horribly wrong. The testing facility has been destroyed and global communications have been disrupted.

The test site itself is………is……….gone! wait, no…something is there!

The ‘plans’ were a trap, set by the Daleks aeons ago using stolen Timelord technology. By testing the device on Earth a portal has been torn open, connecting Skaro, the Dalek Homeworld directly with Planet Earth.

Earth is now vulnerable to a Dalek attack! We must defend ourselves at all costs!

Unforeseen Circumstances:

The device was too powerful. The Daleks underestimated the human desire to detonate explosives.

The power of the device was so great, that a second tear in the fabric of space time was made connecting the Planet Earth directly to the Cyber Home world!

The Cybermen have quickly massed a Cyber Army to take advantage of this tactical superiority. Their aim is to delete their mortal enemies, the Daleks, and to upgrade the population of Earth into the Cyber army!

Or for the Sci-Fi fearful amongst you this amounts to....3 teams+3 cunning bottleneccks to fight through+lots of paint=great day of paintball

We have great pleasure in confirming the details for this event.

Fire Modes

Ramping IS allowed, as is semi-auto.

Other fire modes are not permitted on site, including 3 shot burst and full auto.

Paint
This event is a BYO event. Paint will be available on site on the day.
Prices per case of paint are as follows;
Camo - £25
PowerBall - £25 (we can vouch for this .. a VERY good paint for the price)
Proto / Spec ops will be around £30(ish) per case. This will be verified upon confirmation.

Air
Naturally free fills will be available all day on both Air and CO2.
Minimum of 3000 psi will be available, it is hoped though that the 4500psi Fills (supplied through the generosity of BZ Paintball) will be availalbe on the day, compressor dependant.

IF YOU NEED CO2, PLEASE ADVISE ON BOOKING HOW MANY MARKERS IN YOUR BOOKING YOU WILL NEED FILLS FOR. This is to ensure that there is enough on site on the day, and we don't want you to feel left out.

Chrono and Kit
Please ensure your bottle is in Test prior to attending the event. Out of date bottle, out of the game I'm afraid. If you need to hire equipement, please call the contact number below for the cost of kit, etc.

The Field limit is 300fps, and you will be measured prior to being allowed to enter the field for play. Expect to be random tested on the field too.

The site will be operating a 2 strike warning, which will be outlined in the player pack closer to the time. Effectively, if you are measured over 300 fps AFTER your setup, you will be asked to leave the field and amend the problem. If it happens twice. you will be asked to leave the field and not return.

Payment
The cost for this event is £40, this includes camping, pre-play-day ambience, air fills and of course the Game on the Day.

You can pay via three methods,

Paypal : contact@scpv.co .uk

Cheque : Made payable to "SCPV" and posted to...

SCPV
2 Bamburgh Place
Darlington
DL1 2AJ

Telephone : 01642 730 888 (if you want to pay over the phone)

This is a pre-pay event, no pay no play.

Getting there

Directions on our webite www.360fireteam.co.uk

Final pointer, as the 360FireTeam are heavily involved in the running of this event, would you possibly drop us a quick note either via email or on the forum at our website or indeed carrier pidgeon to let us know numbers for the day. Further information regarding teams will be announced in due course, but let's just say it'll be a bit different to the norm.

Player "packs" will be sent out via email nearer the time, with full details of everything that will be available and all those little details... like where's the loo... what food is available.. can I eat this mushroom, etc, etc...

Were you short on ideas then?

http://www.p8ntballer-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=79753

It may get a bit confusing for people with TWO Dr Who / Time Wars games on...
'Yeah..it's down south'...'no, i heard it was up north'? type thing.
Good luck with it tho :)
Know what you're saying Guppy... the theme and date for this event was set back in January by the site owners. The team were there to support the day and make sure things ran as smooth as they could. Don't worry, next years event will be along a different theme and timescale to ensure there isn't a clash.

If memory serves, the orignal one 'darn sarf' was postponed though, so back then, there wasn't a clash.... unfortunate set of events really :)

Good luck with the day, if the day is anything like Sunday just gone, you'll have an awesome time :D
