Nooooo, give it time, let it mature like a good wine and then it will be sufficiently crusty...ready for that first exquisite bite.....nah get out the trusty stanley knife that will get it off in one peice
with the divot being his kneecapOr....have a friend knock it off with a 3 Wood...certainly make for an interesting YouTube video...FORE!!!!
My mate had the best scab ever on his arm from riding down a steep hill on a bike with no brakes, hitting a curb and doing a comedy splat against a flint/pebble dashed wall.
The scab was the entire length of his arm (elbow side)
3 years later he had a slight pain in his arm, since then, they have successfully removed a 1cm square lump of stone from within his muscle.

At my old house we had a driveway on a steep downward slope to the garage.
Eagerly riding my bike home from the other side of the estate (KFC dinner!)
I stood on the pedals while going down the slope into the garage.
The garage door was not open quite as high as I thought. Took a curved approach into the garage and sliced a line down my scalp on the corener of the garage door as I went in! I fell on the floor and screamed like a baby for around 15 minutes
The pain has got to be similar to death! a good 10 times more painfull than shoulder dislocation
Lost 2 pints of blood and had 18 stiches in my bonce. Nice

Due to the stiches it could not be removed 'as one'
Would have looked like a tape worm if I could have though.
