I have always been led to believe that you shouldn't/don't need to loctite air regs into bottles as the air pressure seals them anyway, and that you should only tighten them with your hands. However, I've just bought a myth reg off Ajermstad and the instructions say to loctite some of the threads and then torque tighten the reg. I can't torque tighten it if I wanted to, but should I put loctite on the threads like it says?

Cheers,

Charlie.

Personally I've only ever screwed regs on hand tight due to getting on planes a couple of times a year and I've never had one come loose.

It probably wouldn't hurt to put a bit of lock tight on if you have it, depends on if you plan on taking it off again anytime soon I guess.

Find an instruction manual for your reg and do what that says. Go to the manufacturers website. Email their tech department if you have to.
