Check out on the virtue website. I know you gun might not have a virtue board in but it will tell you what psp mode is i assume its the same on all boards...
its a ramp mode, first 3 shots semi, ramps to 15/15.4 as long as it is kept over 3bps and also has a 1 second restart

shoot 5 balls a second its ramps to your capped rate of fire usually 15/15.4(which amounts to 3 shots per trigger pull)
then i think it resets after one second.

just had a quick look on the psp site and apart from the awsome rule of you marker must not be fired if sneezed on.....seriously.
from what i can gather, first 3 semi the it is 3 shot burst style with a cap of 15bps, it is a definate 1 second restart...i cannot find any ramp rules though

with it being 3 shots for evey trigger pull you will only be shooting at 9 balls per second if this is so. so there fore its 5 bps
I think you got the wrong end of the stick.
You fire five shots, then it goes into burst mode where you get three balls per trigger pull and the balls in that burst have a ROF of 15.4bps (or whatever your cap is at that time).
so it will recognise just over 5.1 of your trigger pulls per second, and shoot three balls each time at a rate of 15.4 in a normal tournament situation.
