Hello All,

I have always used my trusty halo B hopper but the battery door is cracked and its starting to show its age. I want a new hopper, what doy ou guys recommend? there is alot on the market at the moment so I want to see what the forum thinks. Money isnt really an issue although I want something thatsh reliable and doesnt eat batteries.

I have an EGO so need something to keep up.

A single rule too -

1 DONT Post if you dont have a clue. Too many people try to blag it.

Thanks for your time fellow paintballers.

i like the reloader b

exactly the same as the halo just with sound activation instead of eyes - i have used both and prefer the reloader.

but the velocity is nice and lightweight - if you can try some team mates or something so that you can choose for yourself.

id agree with mac on the reloader b, mines been great to me although it needs a new shell soon. having owned a halo b, relaoder b and vlocity i would say go for the reloader mate!

shells are always a problem. you could just buy new shells for your halo. you can also buy upgraded drive cones etc if you want it to run faster

Cheers guys. I think I will replace the shells for now but soon I will get a new hoppper and it looks as if the reloader B is the better choice. But itsnt there different types of reloader?

yup there is the reloader (not worth getting)

reloader b

and the reloader b2 - newer version of the b and i think its faster or something cant remember the exact details but sounded good when i read it and is probably worth having a look at

if you get a reloader or a new halo make sure you get it with a ripdrive. life savers they are

Vlocity with Gangstar chip
The original velocity is a bit hefty on the batteries, but with a new chip in it, it feeds easily fast enough but makes the batteries last for months.
The vlocity shells have lasted since January for me without any cracks anywhere, and the hopper itself is I think the lightest around.

I believe Reloader B2s are essentially Reloader Bs with magnetic lids and updated boards with more adjustable settings on them, speed, on-ball pressure etc. I've not used a B2 but I've used Halos, Reloader Bs, Vlocitys and Pulses and I personally think that the Reloader B is the best out there, with the halo closely behind it. At the end of the day, all of the high end loaders (Halo/Reloader/Vlocity/Pulse) will provide you with an ample feed rate, a lot of it comes down to other factors, such as battery life, weight, size, positioning etc. Everyone says that Vlocitys eat batteries, I'm not sure how the pulse is for battery life, but my Reloader had the same 6 batteries in it for a long while before it started telling me it wanted new ones; consistent feed rates all the while.

The Halo/Reloader uses the same shell design which distributes the weight pretty centrally above your gun, whereas some loaders (like the Egg) are weighted more to one end.

You should really try a few out and see what you prefer I guess :)
