I would think (and please correct me if I am wrong) that the majority, say the 80th percentile, wouldn't really care too much about any series points attained in the Millennium.
I would also think these teams are only going to Millenniums because they wanna be part of a big event and can play in what they perceive, as the cream of paintball, which as far as Europe goes, the Millennium is.

And so on that basis, if another opportunity came along to play against the top Yank teams and the top Euros and of course it being a razzmatazz, no holds barred, all singing all dancing tourney, I think I'd wanna go ... but I am putting myself in the position of the average European tourney baller, am I correct in what I think, in that the average baller would wanna attend?
But, aren't the Euro teams you want to play the US teams, exactly the 20 percentile that WOULD care about series points?

Maybe I misunderstand what you are getting at - but I view this as a continuation of the debate about how to improve euro teams.... and as such that this is an exercise in how to achieve that improvement?

Please don't misunderstand - I think it is great that a lot of teams/players say they would take part..... but what would the benfit be for Euro paintball in a div. 2 team getting destroyed in 30 seconds by Infamous? - Isn't what you want here, that the top team commit to the idea - because those are the ones that need to play all the US teams?

I'm really just trying to understand what the purpose of the event would be?

If it has the organisation of an NPPL and the atmosphere of an old school millennium and you get to compete against the yanks as well as the joys etc then it’s another yes at this present moment in time, if it was slightly more in cost then that would be fine as we would be saving a chunk in air/ hire car fees etc to have a set up worthy of NPPL in blighty etc.

Big event with loads of razzmatazz sounds great, however not sure about X-ball for everyone.

From what I've read you need a fairly large squad......and to be relatively fit for that :p

A split between X-ball and standard 7 man to accommodate the slightly less hardcore teams would be good.

Yes I would go, if only to test it against a MS event.... As long as it was value for money, well organised and plenty of things as well as games. Some decent food catering would be nice at a paintball event

Nick, Nick, Nick, LISTEN TO ME VERY CAREFULLY !!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop facking looking too deep into this, how the hell can you ask 'what is the purpose of this event', is beyond me.
There isn't any event, it's a hypothetical question about a hypothetical event, if you can't answer either 'yes' or 'no,' then don't bother Nick, FFS, I am asking a question (NOT YOU), FFS, how many fackin times do I need to say this...look nick, stay outa this thread please, coz u r pissing me off here.

All I can deduce is either :-

a) You are stupid beyond belief or

b) You are antagonizing me deliberately.

....either way, stay outa this thread because EVERYBODY else seems to have understood what's needed and has responded accordingly except of course you !!!!!!!!!!

Jeeeezus, how hard is it to say yes or no......?
