someone told me connor won....maybe im stupid cause i jsut heard that...

but i thought this was a really well event from the player's perspective.... The refs were on-point and there were no real gripes.
The turf should have been on all fields, and some of the fields had big waves in the ground and divots, and a couple areas if you slid on them the turf rolled up and stopped you, but thankfully it was easy to avoid areas.

Main thing was just that the CPL is supposed to be spectator friendly, the crowd cant get into the game being 50 feet from the fields!

Ye this totally stopped the atmosphere compaired to other events...

Food was ACE... loved it!

Trade stands... Well situated in the middle!

Fields... EXCELLENT reffing, if not the best iv seen at a millenium, turf not on some fields which sucked, plus turf not being pegged down enough, but all else ace!

Overall it was a good event, but just lacked in spectator participation.

the glass got smashed on saturday afternoon and the local chavs having ago i heard them say they would sell the grills to someone for £80 lol

I saw a few chav teenagers around the fields on Saturday afternoon.
Haha yeah I saw them.

I went down with some mates on the Saturday by train, we were running through the park in the morning from the station and were thinking it would be just over the big hill but instead we found a river, lol.

It was excellent how spectators could just walk around in between the fields and watch from right next to the action. This was much better than last year at Crystal Palace where you could only see from the stadium and the edges.

I actually preferred watching some of the lower division games really, it was quite nice to watch lower divisions for a change from the Pro and Semi-Pro games all the time.

I also picked my self up the Vforce Grill which I must say is amazing.

It didn't seem a bad venue overall, it was well situated to get to by train anyway...I don't know about by plane but I'm sure someone who flew in could tell us.

1st time i have played on that kinda turf an i have to disagree i think the turf was awfull i played a couple of years ago in paris on the xlturf now that was the best surface i have ever played on. You could slide a good 10 feet on that stuff and had perfect grip under foot which helped for really aggresive play. The turf at cc this year had good grip one way but not the other it depended on which way the threads lay and you could slide further on grass (once it was wet).

Anybody know whatever happened to the xlturf?

They did have it just not on all the fields, some had it and some didn't. Or at least that's what it looked like to me.

The XL turf is a more expensive option than the current turf they use so has been replaced. With the right footwear, its good to play on, just took everybody an event (Toulouse I think everybody was on their arse at some point) to find that out
