i made ma own once as i needed a rip desperatly
im telling you poker chip and a soldering iron and u save 14 quid lol
(soldering iron melts a perfect sezed whole and easily )

Maybe it's because these are metal cored and have to be machine

Yes they are, they have a 1.5mm aluminium core. Which when you take into account the additional purchase cost of materials and the machining time, I think helps justify the price, at least they will last.
