Tape on the tank?

What is the tournements standings on tape on the tank?.

While watching the NPPL this weekend, you see the bare tanks with just taped ends instead of tank covers. What is the offical stance on this?

I can understand why player's do this, what are your thoughts on it?

yes its fine, just replaces tank covers

as long as the born date and testing details are visible, or can be accessed easily there's no problem.

yeh they do that just to make the gun a bit lighter and looks kinda cool for some reason

i got to admit, without the tank cover, my set up feels much lighter and no bulky tankcover.

skateboard grip is really good stuff to use
nice and grippy and not too expensive for the amount you get

Just use the bottom piece from a Lok Sok..job done and no pikey tape.

you'd think that. but whats the point losing a few grams on using a lighter reg it also feels much better when pulled into the body.
