The only benefit of Royal mail is the price for sending letters. You ain't far wrong there matey. I was expecting a gat to arrive today and had been tracking it from early this morning online. I got the same message as you 'parcel has left depot and will be delivered shortly'. It was s'possed to arrive by 1pm, never came It then said they attempted delivery before 12.01...I WAS HOME ALL DAY WAITING BY CHUFFIN LETTERBOX!
When I call them up to enquire about my so called attempted delivery they say that according to there computer the address was incomplete and the parcel will be returned to sender (was never even attempted to be delivered!). NOW.....this gat came from a well respected member on here who has assured me everything was done 'as is' and I have absolutely no reason to disbelieve him. I do however have a problem with royal 'ball$ up' mail
How hard can it be to read a label and deliver to that address?
I say blow royal mail out of the water and give someone else a chance to do the job properly

RANT OVER
When I send anything of value in future it will be with one of the established companies that charges a little more yet delivers its promises.
Spoke to a guy at work today who said that he never sends important documents via royal mail because of how often they cockup.
