let's not confine this rant to the royal mail, couriers are just as bad. They don't pay enough for the trust we require, and they never will.

couriers are in anyway noware near perfect,

while working in belfast last year we had some more equipment sent over from chelmsford, which was meant to be next day (cost a fortune to send it as well). The package went via amsterdam, somewhere in Germany and paris according to all the stamps on the box which turned up 3 weeks later.

After waiting a week we got more sent over next day via royal mail low and behold 10 am the next morning all the gear.

No company is perfect and if you think millions of letters and parcels get sent everyday, there not doing too bad a job. Well done the posties

Royal Mail may be a bit crap at times.

But.... What're you gonna do?

well if it helps anything else run smoothly my dad said they're striking again this weekend, so don't send anything 3 days before or after this weekend or you're asking for trouble. :)

You ain't far wrong there matey. I was expecting a gat to arrive today and had been tracking it from early this morning online. I got the same message as you 'parcel has left depot and will be delivered shortly'. It was s'possed to arrive by 1pm, never came:mad: It then said they attempted delivery before 12.01...I WAS HOME ALL DAY WAITING BY CHUFFIN LETTERBOX!
When I call them up to enquire about my so called attempted delivery they say that according to there computer the address was incomplete and the parcel will be returned to sender (was never even attempted to be delivered!). NOW.....this gat came from a well respected member on here who has assured me everything was done 'as is' and I have absolutely no reason to disbelieve him. I do however have a problem with royal 'ball$ up' mail:mad::mad:
How hard can it be to read a label and deliver to that address?
I say blow royal mail out of the water and give someone else a chance to do the job properly:rolleyes:
