Royal Mail = Useless

Purchased a marker which was shipped via royal mail yesterday as a special delivery pre 1pm.

Checking with the online tracking service this morning. It stated, 'we expect to deliver on 10-07 as arranged'

Checked at 2pm after it did not arrive, 'your package is being sorted'

Rang them to find out if thay had any more info. Went throught to an automated answerphone. First option, 'If you are ringing regarding industrial action, press 1.' Very encouraging.

I am sure it will turn up in a day or so. But it seems even special delivery is a complete cop out.

I personally cannot wait for them to fold. Give some other companies a chance to shine.

Moral of the story - Dont use Royal Mail!

in the last few week they have lost:

my life insurance acceptence form - so insurers have cancelled the policy...

my lucky board sent recorded delivery

my mates wedding present - sent special delivery

my sister's birthday card

and god alone knows what else....

you are correct - royal mail = royal fail......

Only a DM4 & Ultralight frame. Nothing too spectacular.

Just winds me up that you pay for a service and they dont give a flying when they do not deliver. Not even a sorry from the old hag on the phone

i have to say ive only even had outstanding service from the royal mail.

everything has arrived within, if not before the time they said.

but maybe ive just got lucky

ive had 2 items sent by special delivery and they turned up next day no worries.

not defending them or anything cos im still waitin for other stuff (that may or may not have been sent)

Always had the odd issue with 1st class and recorded.

A special delivery cock up takes the Micheal IMO.

i send some stuff by first class post/package it turns up next day, a package i send at the same time sent by recorded takes 3 days, wtf?? Sometimes it is annoying when people message you asking where their stuff is and you have to give a rubbish excuse. I was going to order a couple of lucky barrels from sloth, but i dont know if it will get here for the weekend with the strike
