The b4st4rd gun whores dont help either.

These are the guys that have enough disposable income to buy a £4-800 marker, then sell for £200-£300 less 2 weeks later on a whim.

Therefore, when Johnny paper round wants to sell his hard earned, the market level has ostensibly been "set" at whatever the cheapest one sold for.

That 07 ego up there is a deal for £580 however over 2 months ago that Extremelimo guy I beleive was selling a custom anno 07 for £550.so its not even "that cheap". He also sold a custom anno NXT evil shocker for about £350 too.

Now, he probably doesnt give a **** to lose some small change but it hits the small guys hard.

MY advice -NEVER buy a new gat unless its from a team gun deal or you dont mind throwing away 10% per month on it.

I disagree with that to an extent. I think ExtremeLimo (Simon) has had that marker up for sale a couple of times and noone would buy it.

Anyway, we all work hard for our money (well I do) and that gives us the right to spend it, or lose it, anyway we please. I challenge anyone to try and sell their markers for what they are truly worth.

I know all about the price of an 07 Ego, and even though we bought ours on a team deal this year, I will still lose a stack of money on it if I sell it now.

PRetty sure he started it off at £600 and £450 respectively if memory serves - anyway, it was just an example. Those prices are still a significant drop.

And yes, nowhere did i say it wasnt the sellers prerogative, and it is of course a buyers market - just that it is fact that one of the reasons gun prices fall is gun whores who buy, dont even shoot it, then sell at a big (to most people) loss.

tbh, if youre making a loss at about £600 going rate for an 07 ego then you didnt get a very good deal did you now ;) ;) ;)

I can certainly identify with marker depreciation, I bought an IR3 off a mate of mine last year (when I got back into things) I paid him £80 for the marker and angel air, ad he'd just had the bottle tested and marker serviced so in real terms he guess got about £30 for it. OK he was letting me have it on the very very cheap to get me playing again but when you consider that he probably paid close to a grand for the complete setup when new.....:eek::eek:

It's just not worth me selling it now

My original post was more aimed at the fact that there seemed to be a lot of A1's appearing for sale within a week or so of each other.

Lol, I know what you mean, but even at that, still losing on what we had to pay for the whole package. :D

On your orginial point then.... :)

Only bad thing I could say about the A1 is that the eye-cover design is poor. Personally I haven't had a problem with it yet, as I've not needed to swap out nubbins or clean the eyes, but it looks a bugger to remove and refit with snapping something.

They are, apparently, releasing a new 3-piece design soon to fix this flaw.

Other than that it's a real 'unbox and play' marker. A lot of people have issues because they fiddle with settings and try stripping it every week. Once you've applied the recommended settings, you just play, clean, oil, repeat.

It's small, light, fast, reliable, consistent and requires naff all regular maintenance. For me it was a straight choice between an A1 and an Ego 07.

Problem is there is no second hand market for markers, its my A1 up for £375 because I have a Miami Rage A1 as well, I still have a brand new gloss red anno Evil NXT and no one will buy it at £400, what do I do I cant leave them on the shelf I would prefer to let someone have a bargain and have good use of it. As to buying lots of guns, yes I do, but I work from home so I have no petrol costs every day, I dont smoke, I dont drink, but I love my paintball.:p:D

The 3 piece eye cover will be out soon, but saying that i've removed my eye covers many times and not had any problems at all.
