Some things your all need to consider
Ancaster is not the closest site for 90 % of the teams that go to the PA so travel time is important .
2 day event ,mmmmmm ,What teams have to think about is the cost of being on site for 2 days , ie hotels,travel and the ODD shandy
The other major factor is paint , for 2 days , iam sure Russ wont be putting more games in if it is 2 days rather than one , just the fact it will be a bit of a squeeze to get 32 matchs on one day ,thats 16 hrs for the refs without a break it aint gonna happen ,thats if there is 32 teams there .
Myself personaly i would like to be watered down a little so it runs on 1 day , as i dont want the costs of hotels and other must have items when at paintball !!
30 min games is still 8hrs on field for the refs

why not have it like the old EXL format ?
with the losers bracket and all that.
as it stands at the moment, a seeded team could turn up and only get 1 game,
the old way everyone gets atleast 2.

And you are not playing two days either! as a seeded team you would only play on the Sunday.
The format I have worked on is similar to the FA cup (football) in that the seeded teams do not participate until later in the event, in our case it would be the Sunday.
The idea is 16 teams compete on the Saturday and the top eight play on the Sunday with a guaranteed 10,000 paint per team for qualifying the ones that don't qualify would have still had more paintball than they get on a normal days paintball more or less the same as teams who played the PA this year got so they will still go home happy - and tired.

They only way around hotels then Russ is to have the PA book (not pay) enough rooms for 8 teams for sunday. Something your willing to do?
Another option is the one run at the PSP, a winners line and a losers line, very simply you are out when you have lost two games so you could get drawn against one of the favourites but if they beat you it would not be the end of your competition.

We have looked at that ourselves but we would have to pay because it is more than three rooms, also the teams who go through to the Sunday may chose to camp so the option wont work unfortunately.They only way around hotels then Russ is to have the PA book (not pay) enough rooms for 8 teams for sunday. If the teams lost and had hotels booked there is no reason why they could not make a night of it with there mates and come and watch the day after.
