aired up my etek on friday night (might i add... AFTER Shaun had fannied about with the reg.... and bang ... followed by pssssssss of an air leak....)

it was coming from the gap in this pic below where an oring had been mashed out of shape.... only thing is i duno how to get the swivel off and how to get a new oring in..... :|

anyone?

You will need to take the macroline elbow off, that is stopping you from getting the swivel off.

Heat it with a high dryer and using a adjustable spanner slowly turn the elbow until it comes off (Do not force)

The swivel should come off easily then, replace oring, oil and put back to gether.

A mate of mine had a similar problem, he put the shim stack in the wrong way round.

Beware.

Vaseline should be fine, BLUE loctite......BLUE! Do not use anything else! (make sure you clean the threads first off)

Green should be alright (don't use to much) I personally use blue.

well ive got black macroline elbows that i want to put on.. but i want to test that the oring aint gona burst again with the silver one which ive put on just now with ptfe tape (if it works ill put the black ones on with loctite...)

just gota get up the courage to screw the on off in now *chronic fear of air leaks / explosions*

Oh right, should be okay. Make sure the reg is set low, you can up the pressure later, I think 3.5 turns gives ~280fps on a ego
