Ti vs SS
From the man himself, discussing the zick kit
"when we were developing the Zick, we made matching sets in stainless and Ti to side-by-side trial. The Ti set-up (identical in EVERY SINGLE WAY to the Stainless set-up, bar material) was consistantly slower, on every single peak ROF test we ran. Again, it came down to the weight of the bolt/rammer system. The Ti rammer was too light, which caused more blowback which impeded the fall of the ball stack into the breech."
Jack Wood
Also he and Nicky T, on numnerous threads, when people see low FPS and unable to get over 240fps etc, recommend putting back in the SS stock rammer. The Ti is too light weight to open the sprung poppet valve.
Answer - for all the perceived benefits, there are major issues and its not a drop in replacement no kick uber shooting effort. Tune what you have, dont throw cash at "upgrades" that might not work.
