macro fittings

hi guys
just a little advice please. Whats the best way to change your macro fittings (ie trying to get the old one's out and the new one's in).

If you cant get them out, heat gently with a hairdryer to loosen the loctite the unscrew.

Make sure threads on the gun and fitting are clean then screw in

cheers mate. is it best to use a spanner or a vice to get them out? they aint got weird reverse threads or anything have they?

Correct sized spanner will do the trick or grips


No they have normal thread

They usualy have been loctited in, I normatly find boiling water is the solution but keep it clear of electronics and seals. Yu should then be able to twist em out with a spanner.

no they havent...if a spanner doesnt work then bang the macro fitting in the vice and twist the reg (no damaging the reg that way!!!!) same for the asa if its in there too

Most fittings come with ptfe paste on them. You just wind them in nice and tight.
