i used to have a pm5 and they run sweet as a whistle light, accurate, great over the chrono and did i mention throws paint faster than a flys wings flap
it would kill a mini in every aspect
all a mini has is being light and that dosn't make up for it being a poppet valve which can be difficult to maintain and is unnesseserily complicated cos have switched around where the batterys go and where the air goes
for gods sake do yourself a favour just get the ul frame and then your pm5's light and the mini has nothing over it and whats an oz when your on the field
Have you even used a mini?
What you may call unnecessarily complicated could also be viewed as innovation and a huge improvement by reducing the need for macroline, macroline adapters. With the mini's setup it's actually easier to access the electronics than nearly every other gun requiring the removal of just one screw to access the electronics and adjust the settings.
The PM5 is fast becoming obsolete. It's a brick and will be over 3 years old come the end of this season.
If you already have a PM5 and love it, then definitely check out the UL frame, especially if you like the feel of it and are comfortable with it. But the fact that you can get a very good condition 2nd hand mini for about 200 quid then monetarily it really doesn't make sense to spend 150 quid on just a frame for a 2 year old gat.
In the end go for whatever you feel suits you best and fits your budget.
