Matey you have to be aware that some of the cheap systems dont go down as far as street level, you really need to get an established one that has full access to updated maps and not the cheap generic brands that are cashing in on the boom ..go Tom Tom or Navman they've been doing it for years :)

and this is how to suck eggs... :D

Navman all the way:)
Fits nicely in your coat pocket (or man bag), is flat, unlike the tomtom and for the price they are selling them for on ebuyer, you can't go wrong:p

its a pity you dont have a PDA, you can install tomtom software onto for free, and just buy a little GPS stick.

yeh, but those phones are £200+.

Eric (darkwarrior) use's a PDA with tomtom software on (i think its tomtom) and it works perfectly fine, infact, when i start driving, no point to getting a sat nav device, going to use a PDA with the software on, and eliminate on things you have to carry around in your kitbag

I use my pda/phone (spv m600) as a sat nav, works well, but you need full postcode entry on any sat nav to make it worthwhile having.
