WTD Sat Nav Cheapish UK

Slight abuse of plat privileges i guess, but i am in need of a cheap sat nav system.

would prefer a colour touch screen but i stress it must be as cheap as possible as I will only be using it for one trip!!

Reason being, I will never use it in Northern Ireland. People still give directions using donkeys and lumps in the road as reference points...........

any help would be appreciated, or if anyone can point me in the right direction.....

surely if your just using it for one trip, just use route finder and print the pages off, might be a bit old school, but its far cheaper

thing is, if the trip turns out to be good, i might want to do it all over again. plus i fancy the satnav to see if it is worth having for a drive through Europe which I may do.

Routefinder got me lost before, and I don't particularly fancy flipping through a load of pages by myself whilst driving, drinking a black coffee and trying to light a fag..........

dunno matey, somewhere in the region of £50-80

looking at the like of a streetpilot or similar, but i don't know that much about them.

its a pity you dont have a PDA, you can install tomtom software onto for free, and just buy a little GPS stick.

been told that the pda sat nav can be a bit crappy, plus most of the stand alone gps units you can plug into the ciggy lighter.

I know about roads etc missing, thankfully it is more for use through england and scotland.

Tom Tom is by far the best ,but i dont think you'll get much cheaper than these and they're pretty good.

there a loads on there for under £100
