Just been reading through the Millennium Rulebook and had a thought.

"Rule 12.04: Vests and pouches may not be constructed in such a fashion that they constitute padding."

I was just wondering how DYE had got around that rule when making the Proto body armour, or how Empire got away with making the Groundpounders vests?

what qualifies a "legit paintball company" though? Do they have to be a sponsor of the Millennium Series? or what?
you dirty great cynic ;) :p

probably just means they have been manufactured to certain standards, as in, no thicker than elbow/knee pads, as otherwise that would be additional padding.

edit: shows how early it is... that just sounds like a load of jibber jabber

You know what does my head in..

People are consistently bringing this question up and drawing attention to this, to the point that maybe some tournament organizers are going to look even further into there petty rulebooks that are hidden in a basement behind a door marked 'beware of the tiger' and decide that 'wait a minute rule 3.b subsection 4 does rule these out ,if that goit on the internet hadn't pointed that out we would never of though about it'..

No more to notch body armour and back to multiple welts..

leave it be...

I hate to be rude, but what ARE you talking about?

Are you saying that its wrong to openly discuss rulebook issues, in the hope that people can continue to exploit the grey areas that the organisers might not know about? :s

'Cause that's not what I was suggesting at all, the Proto and Empire vests are tournament legal, everyone knows this, I was just wondering how they managed to get around the clearly stated rule (which apparently was altered).

So put the soap box back under your desk.

Firstly. What I'm suggesting is that this has been done to death and there quite genuinely some real officious ****ers out there that will find a clause to get these banned just because they cant afford one ,and I'm bored of hearing about it.So... eh... to answer your question ..Yes.

Secondly..Get your sarcasm detector fixed, evidently the difficult task of navigation through the Millennium rulebook has taxed your brain..find something more interesting to do I.E :Razzle Page 2 : Subsection III."I just got a job at an all girls Catholic secondary school"..

Thirdly ..be as rude as you like 'cause I will :p
