i dunno if an ultralite grip frame thingy fits all dms/pms (apart from the PMR - has its own *special* one) or watnot but thats not what im looking for. ive recently bought a pm5 from these forums with an ultralite frame fitted. looking through the manual at fire modes i released the manual wouldnt tell me how to change the mode on an ul frame :X this is why ive put this up.

anyone know to an online manual or could anyone stick up simple instructions on how to change the fire mode on it? ive figured out turning the gat on and turning the eyes off and now i wanna ensure im not in any kinda ramp mode.

cheers :) *again*

so even the ul frames on old dm4 or pm5 use dm6 boards as stock? and thnx again for ur help james :D
yes mate, all UL frames us DM6 boards, or a veriation on the DM6 board.

just got myself a UL framed PM6, but mine has a Lucky board and a Un1chip (spitfire coding :D). so im kinda in the same boat as you, never owned a UL frame before.

if you use the PBnation uber sticky, you cant go that wrong.

Hi

Just to clear a few things up.

The board found in the PM5 UL frame is not exactly the same as the one found in a DM6, it does work in the same way, but there are a few differences.

Changing a fire mode, or any setting is exactly the same on any stock DYE or Proto board.

With the marker turned off, push dipswitch number 2 (dipswitch number 4 on DM4/5/C) into the up position, and turn the marker on. You will see a sequence of lights flash and it will come to rest at a green light. Depending on which marker you have you will have three or four options

-debounce (always green)
-dwell (always red)
-max ROF (blue on UL frames, orange otherwise)
-fire mode (this mode is only present on any of the UL frame boards [pm5/6 UL, DM4/5/C UL and obvioulsy DM6/7], as well as PM7 and PMR) (coloured yellow on UL frames and flickering orange otherwise)

Pull the trigger to scroll through the options. When you are on the option you wish to change, hold down the trigger for a second and the board will start to flash. The number of times it flashes indicates what the setting is currently set to. Once the board has finished flashing, enter the new setting that you want the board to go by. Remember, the number of trigger pulls doesnt always directly correlate to the setting, e.g. when setting the max ROF, 15 trigger pulls is NOT 15bps, 15.4 bps on all DYE/Proto boards in 10 trigger pulls, factory setting is 8 (14.6)

NOTE; you MUST enter a value when the board has finished flashing, otherwise it will think that you are trying to tell it '0' and default to a setting of one, which in the case of the dwell can cause anoying and un-necessary problems.

Once you have finished adjusting your settings, push the number 2 dipswitch back down into the off position, and the marker will act like you have just turned it on, go through the boot-up sequence, and be ready to shoot. At this point you can turn it off, or go play.

Thanks

So you can fine tune your marker to the ROF you want. With different caps out there some 15, some 15.1 (cfoa) and 15.4 it allows you to set your gun as close to the limit.
