Welcome Stu. Moving from Woodsball to Sup'Air? Good choice - you're in for an amazing time as long as you stick with.

Advice? Well, it's a bit of a broad subject, but here's some quick tips...

- Get yourself on to a team as soon as you can, but make sure it is a team that can help and train you. Basically, think about your ambitions with the sport and choose a team that is performing at a similar level to your short-to-mid term ambitions.

- Don't buy kit for the sake for it. Take your time. Get advice off of people in the know (not off of just any muppet over the internet) and try to get down to a training site or a team's training day, or even a tournament to try out some markers before you make your final choice. Buy decent goggles, air and loader - do not go cheap on these items.

- Watch DVDs, read magazine and check out the various forms of help available to new players such as the articles on www.p8ntballer.com and the threads on the forums under www.nspl.co.uk

- Concentrate your finances on playing. If you want to give a tourney a try before investing, then try to find a team that can loan you kit or look at the Proto KotHs where you can use all the tournament kit at no extra charge. When buying kit, try to just buy what you need and leave some cash for training and playing. There's no point owning all the latest gear if you can't afford to use it.

- Have fun.

First congratulations in joining, just look, point, read absorb.

Pay attention to the wiser members of the forum (the Mods, Dskize, Tom Allen, John C, Bob, Cook$, Skeet, Collier as well as many more.) and don't take anything too seriously. Be courteous when you post.

Secondly, from moving from the woods to Sup'Air, go along to a tournament, ask questions, play with markers, check out the KOTH, NSPL, UKM, PA tournament series, whichever is the closest to you.

PGi is your firend ;)

Kit wise, the classifieds on here are the best place to pick up kit at good prices - especially markers.

Lastly, everyone is friendly, just ask nicely, jump in with teams training or if theyre looking for guests to play. Jump in - it cant hurt.
