nothing new there ! they still say there tanks are ok

so back to square one
looks like in gerenal some Stakos have had a retest and passed fine. A step forward but it looks like the problem of the leaking tanks hasn't been properly answered. Points slightly more towards a batch problem or flash filling or what ever people were speculating about.

In any case a jump over a snake and a climb up a ladder.

Am I reading this right? They pressurised the leaking tank to 450 bar and it just carried on leaking, didn't burst, rupture, get worse? That actually makes me feel a bit more confident. Yeah the liner was split, but that was never going to kill/mame anyone. Just piss out the side, kind of like a burst disc. And also pretty impressed their random samples had to have the burst test stopped at 1150bar to "protect the installation"! They passed all TuC's tests, definatly a postitive step!

Spoke with the people at Stako, they said they're hoping the ban will be lifted before next weekend.

If you look at the website, it has some interesting bits in safety where it shows you how the tank works with an animation, gave them a few suggestions to rearrange the layout of the information given to address the most things like filling, eventual epoxy cracks and so on, it's already there but you have to read the user manual and safety notes to find it.
