well i dont know if it will cure the issue for everyone but after fiddling, i found that if the chip is outside of the grip frame it works fine, as soon as you stick it inside it only works intermitently, if at all. so.......... i have soldered a fine gauge wire to the antenna of the rf module and fed this alongside the eye cable's (basically giving it better reception) i have run nearly a box of paint through it and it hasnt skipped a beat........
