Rebound is ramping.
When you hit a certain BPS (8?) and maintain it, it bumps your rate of fire up to 15 balls a second I believe.
The manual might specify everything in correct detail :p

yeh, you need to go a certain speed, its all in the manual, if your on about the button on the side, and the 2 mode that has, its eyes on or eyes off, i might be wrong with what you mean :p

Yes inside there is also another switch which can change the modes of the board...

Rate of fire

In order to get the best from your ramping you will need to ensure the ROF is max'd out to 15. If it is set at 6 for example then activating rampin will make your Ion appear to fire slower than your finger walking rate.

Read the manual where it says to increase the rate of fire, you need to have it in 'single blink red' mode. Just max this out. Your Ion will be capped at 15bps, which is the maximum any site in the UK should allow you to use. This Rate of Fire will be applicable for both semi and ramping (rebound) mode.

Hope helpful.

(Did I mention you need to read the manual?)

The following settings on a stock Ion should allow you to max out the rate of fire up to the theoretical 17bps cap.

Dwell 44, recharge 4, something to do with the two adding up to 48 ???

Of course with a firebolt and qev you dwell could be a fair bit lower, with a firebolt and some lucky internals I'm in the mid thirties, though following the guidance of MG my gun tech :D you need to bottom out the dwell to 0 then take it up a few clicks at a time until the marker fires, set the velocity and then take the dwell up a click on two at a time until the velocity stays consistent +/-10 fps for instance.

oh yes - read the damn manual!!!

15bps?

Isn't an ion circuit board capped at 15bps?

Oh and if your Ion is stock and it works fine and you aint confident about ****ing about with your dwell, don't. Just max out your ROF AS PER THE MANUAL!!

Also, lowering your recharge is the same as increasing your rate of fire. Reducing the recharge reduces the time between shots, thus increasing your fire rate. Please however don't let this confuse you. The manual says how to increase the rate of fire so just follow that.

Did we mention about reading the manual?

I was going from one of the ion websites which reckoned on 17, US site it ay be that the ROF cap on the US boards is that bit higher, it's all a bit theorectical anyway :)

When I was running the stock internals I was on a dwell of 42 and recharge of 6 think - still only a magic '48' and it chattered away quite well. I must admit on ramping I never fired over the chrony to check the BPS, just the velocity

the stock ion board is capped at 17 bps, stock internals will do about 22 bps with a new board. You must set your recharge(r.o.f) to its lowest setting in order for it to reach its maximum bps(17) it should fire at this rate realistically no matter what you have the dwell at unless its extremely high. hope this helps
