A friend of mine has just got an ETEK, but it just won't shoot!

Symptoms/settings:

- The gun cycles, but will not fire. At all. The rammer (and bolt) moves forward and backwards during the firing cycle as normal, and hits the poppet, but no gas is released to fire the paintball.
- The LPR screw is flush, Inline has been adjusted across it's pressure range.

Things i've tried:

- Changed the battery
- Stripped and relubed the Inline. My friend did this before the training we had on sunday but assembled the spring stack wrong (I corrected it as per the manual).
- Stripped and relubed the LPR
- Used a different Inline altogether (Dye Sidewinder 2, brand new one)
- Reset the software to factory settings in case the dwell was messed up
- Checked the ram and poppet assemblies

Sooo....I'm stuck! Anybody have any ideas about this?????

Thanks :)

Forgot to mention, When I was given the gun to look at on sunday, the LPR screw was 2 turns OUT, could this has over pressurised the solenoid?

Also, are ETEK LPR springs the same either side of the piston? I had an 05 Ego and they weren't, but on this ETEK they were both gold?

check internal hoses for blockages if youve had the frame off you may have pinched them
I had the frame off after checking everything in the first post, the hoses were as-new as the gun has only done about a 1000 shots prior to sunday.

I double checked everything when putting the frame back on to make sure nothing was pinched, and sat in the slots.

seems like you have tried nearly everything

try aired up pushing the blot forward, into the poppit, and if the valve is able to open by hand thatd mean theres no presure behind it. if it is unable to be pushed open, then id say off to planet with it.

The gun's not in my possession now to try anything else now, but I spent an hour or so looking over it and going through everything i could think of.

I thinks a job for Planet to look at really.
