people will spout their opinions but its generally regarded that all top end markers will shoot pretty much the same. It just comes down to reliability and ease to strip/clean, and even thats pretty much the same now-days. Also weight, appearance and general feel plays a part in it.
So just try all that you can and decide for yourself.

The three markers you have mentioned work totally different mate
Autococker: Basically a pump marker, that has had the pump handle replaced with a automatic cocking system, hence the name. An electronic cocker has simply replaced the mechanical autococking system with an electronic one. Few years ago these were top of the range, and you could basically build one from aftermarket parts, but lately they have gone out of fashion as most of them are heavy, and werent exactly new user friendly ;) .

Shocker: probably most simple concept of the three markers. rather than me hashing it over, this website is the bible for all things smart parts, and will explain it better Clicky
Been around longer then the Ego, so more aftermarket parts, and a number of private labels, both of the new and old style marker, the SFT does have a problem shooting black shelled paint due to the reflective eye system, and the anno sometimes has been known to wear and screws to strip as softer aluminium is used. Performance wise will shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger, and will place the balls on the target, Old markers were gas hogs, newer ones come with high efficiency bolt kits.

Ego: All incarnations work the same way, have similarits to a spyder in some ways if i remember, just using a solonoid instead of springs, fair few different bits available from planet and others, and seem at the moment to be flavour of the month. Again accurate and fast, and probably have the edge on shockers in efficiency.
As the man says though, try them all and see what u like, otherwise everyone would be shooting the same marker... :p
Hope that helps.
Matt

i like the auto cocker look with the tubes and things, but yet the black and chromo egos are hot, im reallly just a big nerd, and the cockers look great but very old and fiddly, and the egos look hot and sleep but as if i cant even open them or touch them,

put it this way, id rather have a suped up caddy with massive engine and customised nonsense than a lotus

nice, im going to try have a play with a cocker, :p
Brave man...:D ;)

Cockers are not an easy gun to get on with, due to the very nature of the gun, it's reversed engineering causes many problems.

I would stick with an Angel or ego, both have very similar characteristics and can handle mega abuse without a problem. The Angel has the edge over the ego on design and quality, but the ego has the "in vogue" status that has always been the deciding factor when buying a gun.

Shockers and the dm/pm range feel cheap to me, poor quality gives poor results in my book.
