shame to hear that marcus, robert or ronnie one of the two guys you would of spoken to do have a point about hard paint though when it comes to bring your own. big game being one example, i was hit smack on the forhead (dont wear peaks) and it didnt break and pretty much put me out cold and at a different walk on (a byo one) i was drilled down my side and it really tore me up tested the gun, was running 280s consistently and therefore must have been the paint.

but excuses aside the walk on is the 3rd sunday of ever month, though the price needs a little working on, the day, marshalls, site, tech support and paint quality are all excellent. hopefully see you there one day.

Although I remain sceptical about the staining comment (I know some paint stains but thats just paintball aint it?) I completely agree about hard paint as I had a ringing in my ear for about an hour after a bouncer whacked me just behind my ear at the Big Game. I always use a draxxus product as it is consistent through my marker and doesnt give anyone concussion when it hits anyone, and it invariably nearly always breaks. Maybe the site could implement a checking routine for BYO paint, which is what most other sites do that allow BYO?

Anyway..

When the walk-on price is adjusted a little more in line with market rates, and / or I feel a little flusher one month, I'll see you at this one. It does look and sound good.

Don't worry about it. Each site charges what they feel is the going rate and they make the decisions about BYO or whatever. This is the sites rates & rules and thus I accept it, equally it's my choice whether I want to pay it or not. I'm not after any special favours so lets just leave it at that please. :)

Thanks anyway.

Out of curiosity, what is the average rate you pay, for a non BYO paint?

In 2007 I would expect to pay £45 or £50 for a walk-on with 2000 paint. Additional paint at £30+ per box.

The paint comes in various qualities, but generally is consistent and ok.

Some sites supply lunch, nearly all supply air to 3000psi and marshalls and free tea and coffee.

BYO varies between £15 to £25.

I total agree with the above prices and Mayham is expensive. Saying this i have been to Mayhem and it is a great site and i have been more than once. I feel the prices should be re-considered but never the less a great walk-on site.
