customs and importing...what a hassle

Ever decreasing circles.

When/if your marker goes wrong I hope your local store refuse to work on it, that way you get the pleasure of sending it back to the states (£50) maybe paying import duty again when it comes back into the country, unless you've kept all your paperwork and even then it's not guaranteed!
Samples typically shouldn't be complete units or not fully functional, good luck with that when you're explaining that it's gone back for warranty work

In short support local business, or don't complain when they are no longer here!

But by going abroad you still save money even after customs...

Also - your local store will work on it, but at a cost (prob cheaper than sending back to the states) so in that way we are supporting them

Insured back to the states costs more than £20, I know I used to run an online paintball store importing markers.

As I said don't complain when the stores aren't here anymore.

Well maybe it'll give the UK paintball scene the kick up the arse it needs in order to compete on the same level as the US?

Anyways - enough of your bitching. This is the first gun i've bought from the states, and more than likely to be the last - although it saves money, i really don't like waiting 2 weeks for shiney toys........

3 days from US to UK - 12 days in Customs - should be delivered today - £148 customs charges...

New - which is still £122 cheaper than PE in the UK.

Well the thing is - i didn't have £850 to spend on a marker - so they wouldn't have got it anyway...i only just managed to scrape together enough.

Also, i would bet my right arm that you have imported something at some point - whether it be paintball related or not - did you think about the shop owners then? ...so i suggest you get down off your high horse and except that once in a while, people will import things rather than supporting the local businesses.
