hey,

theres a lot about this on talkpaintball (sorry if I'm not allowed to mention other forums :( )

from what i understand, government legislation changed and there are now only 2 centers that will test bottles, if you go on fatbobs they have a testing service where by you send your bottle to them and they send the bottle to the testers, then get it back to you once tested. as far as I'm aware thats the only way to do it currently, however i may be wrong

hope that helps
Nick
Nick read the thread on talk paintball through to the end, there are many places to get bottles tested. There are quite a few dive centers testing under the new regs, and they don't charge over £40 for a test.

The REGULATORS are NOT part of the bottle test, and should be removed before you take/send the BOTTLE for it's test.

If you use the new testing center advertised by fat bobs on their forum talk paintball, and send your reg with the bottle, be prepared for a hefty bill.

Ok thanks a lot Tom

I'll go give it a read because i was under the impression there were only 2 centers and only fatbobs could deal with them.

I'm sure your probably right, in which case, my bad sorry for giving the wrong info :p

just read the topic on talkpaintball, can't seem to see anything that would suggest otherwise to what i said, I'm not saying your wrong, i just can't see it, if you could point me in the right direction that would be great.

lol, your probably right :p. you don't happen to have, or know where, we could find a list of accredited testing centers do you?

it would probably help a great deal with all these "where can i get my bottle tested" threads

just did a bit of looking and found this scuba diving website which had info regarding testing and centers which will do testing.

http://www.sita.org.uk/idestmembers.html

theres the website, it talks about testing to a DFT standard so i would assume these centers would be able to test paintball tanks as well.

http://www.sita.org.uk/idestmembers.html check this link

i found it earlier and seems to give centers which will test bottles. I don't know how recent or true it is but its worth a try. as Tom said, call the center nearest to you and find out

comments have been made on the other forum about this thread, which i think are irresponsible and childish, especially from someone in such a position. But as the thread has been closed for some time to stop outside comments i'm not in a position to comment on there.
