Um, in most tourneys if they bother too look probly not. Most specify that goggles should be worn as they were made.
Anyway who cares you can see his ear 'ole!! A swift bunkering in the wrong place and you'd never walk straight or hear again!

Its not legal as it is a modification but a couple of our guys did it in the SPL and got away with it.
I was going to but now dont see the point as the removed part doesnt stick out any further than the rest of the mask and offers a bit of bounce/ protection to the ear.

No goggle modification is allowed by any rule set in use in the UK(or the Millennium series, PSP and NPPL)
Sod all to do with any organiser caring about your welfare it is one of the criteria demanded by the insurance companies.

so does that mean soft ears on hard eared jt proflex are technically not legal?
nah its just i have seen profilers with soft ear mods, was wondering about the grillz with em.

Those are (in the case of JT) JT authorised parts designed for those goggles. Taking a stanly knife to them isn't
In theory cutting the chin strap on a Proflex is not okay but you can just say its a flex 7 faceplate that didn't come with one
