I used a nexus bolt in mine and it was superb.

cure bolt is also good, but to be honest if a paintball is going to break in the barrel nothing on earth will stop it.

I have a nexus bolt here if you are interested. can't get them anywhere any more!!

I might be tempted to whack it in the 07 ego for a laugh!!!

You are about the first person i think who has said DART bolts were any good!! I am not arguing with you in the slightest, just passing comment.

To be honest, i have had very little issue with any ego chopping balls, no matter what bolt is in it.

Good to hear someone else point of view......

Dusty - naturally, Ive used ALL the bolts out. Until the cure, I used a nexus - as it was the best one I found and never broke balls in my 05 ego, or 06.

HOWEVER the one caveat is I have found - use good paint, and no bolt will cause you issues as long as your loader isnt stressing anything.

Use crap paint however ,espeically with a force feed loader, in abherrent conditions and youll see the benefit of a cure bolt.

Only with the ****TEST paint have I had an issue. All since Ive had my 07 with the cure bolt I hadnt broken any paint using white box / training stlye paint. Im sure with another bolt i woulda had an issue (like i say, its not faultless, cos with some suspect paint ive had problems) but for the most part egos will shoot GOOD paint flawlessly.

Bolts ive used:

05 v1 oring
05 v2
DART
06
NEXUS
Cure

I have no experience of other brands than Eclipse
FWIW I never liked the DART bolt either.

Correct, good (not necessarily the most expensive) paint will make your life a whole lot easier.

When Nicky T came to do a clinic with us a short while ago (Cheers Nick!!) he was of the opinion that you should use the WORST paint you can get your hands on. The thinking behind it was, that if you learn to deal with it effectively in training, it becomes a non issue in actual competition. Train hard fight easy so to speak. And it is usually cheap

Personally I would rather spend my time shooting people as opposed to cleaning my barrel out but then again I can see the logic on both sides of the fence.

I agree with the logic
We tend to use lower price paint for training (such as tomahawk field for instance, which is still decent for the most part) and like i say, with a cure bolt, I tend to never have an issues. The only paint ive broke in my ego7 was white box rainbow.

And yes, good paint doesnt mean most expensive.
Id shoot regular chronic over 420 for instance...
At Hb, we shot Inferno over hellfire (box cost difference was $5, £3, so it wasnt for the money)
