i disagree with a few points here

1 - 14 year old whose mum bought it - doubt that ever really happens. No offence but its the adult marker whores who can "afford" to sell there spanking "insert released last month" marker for nearly half price.

2 - "sponsored" players. yes they pay less for their equipment, all the way up to getting it for free. however, they play most weeks, play lots of events and put in the time effort and cash. they for the most part "deserve" their team gun and will use it week in week out. now, you telling me you wanna pay 70% of the brand newvalue for a well used gun? I wouldnt...id wanna pay about a third the price...as its been used all year.

3 - £800 investment bla bla...if you paid full whack, then get full use out of it before you decide you want to sell it, that way you wont feel too bad when you inevitably lose out. its not just this industry - try buying a new car for example, or gaming PC equipment (or pc equipment of any kind!) - instant cash loss.

Or, if you ARENT getting a team gun, just buy second hand. take ADVANTAGE of these people selling cheap guns at the end of the season. 70% of them will be well looked after, and if not, high end enough to just need a dab of TLC.

also, an aside - you are playing ball here
not buying a display peice.
get a used marker, and dont worry bout a few nicks here and there,
likewise, dont treaure your "investment" go out and use it, its meant to be abused.

just my thoughts.
yes 'losing' money sucks
but just deal with it, cos thats what pb is about...

no your right its more likely to be the dad who buys it, as most mothres have something against buying what looks like a gun for thier kid.

sorry couldnt resist :)

...

tell me about that one only way to work that system is to plan ahead and get something to last 2-3 years which is feasable but hard managed it twice now and my old system i sold for monkey nuts to a friend still keeps him happy
fingers crossed this one will keep up but you never know

thing is though, a new 06 ego brand new last year was like £350 for some teams, and free for others, so when you consider that a lot of sellers here are team members, they in some cases wont care what they get for a gun, which forces the price down

not altogether true

they will want as much as they can get for it naturally, but if its not selling, then the market determines that they must decrese their costs. supply and demand.
