this obviously comes down to personal preference and ive used reloaber bs, eggs and vlocitys and my favourite is vlocitys. looks awesome, feeds as fast as u like on setting 1, about eating batteries surely u would change ur batteries b4 playin anyways and the batteries last as long as u play.

VLocity for my vote
yeah you change them for every day of an event but im talking training and ****, where optimal hopper speed might be unrequired in terms of utilising the batteries over the duration of their klifespan, and hence longer is better in my opinion.

also vl brand loaders use 9vs which are more dollars to buy

works for me mate :)

Sugested speed for the z-board is 23bps so if I can get close to 20 then I'm happy, maybe I got a good one. Why would you need to feed more than 15 anyway ;) ?

Got 20 9v procells for about £16 delivered, still on the first box

Can only quote on the revvies and eggII's that I've used but I've had not problems whatsoever with my egg (z boarded) never had an issue with battery life, feeds fast enough for my ion on ramping, the q-lock holds it tight enough. the only drawback I've found is the battery door but a bit of tape holds it in place until I get round to doing the battery mod. Stability on the gun is fine, loading is fine (get rid of the door springs).

In terms of speed through the hopper (off the gun) my z-board egg will empty 200 balls in about 10 seconds and the only problem I have with it on the field is forgetting to turn it on....

.
drop tests mean fck all im sorry to say
speed on the marker is what its all about and non force fed hoppers will always be dipped in speed before the motor picks up ( i tihnk this is slightly addressed with the egg3, correct me if im wrong).

trust me you play in semi a lot and youll notice the difference between an egg and a "halo" style loader in terms of "kicking in " speed.

as for your experiences, thats cool and like i said if you have a clamping feedneck the issues of the weight at the back goes away (unless it unbalances your setup, which i find it does with an ego).

im of the opinion that having to modify your loader from new to make sure your batteries dont fall out mid game is a bridge too far.

prefer the halo style loaders personally
thats my lot on the subject.

Each to their own...

again, drop tests mean absolutely nothing
everyone knows VL quote the egg as 23 bps through DROP tests to make it sound fast. on a gun youll struggle, especially in PSP ramping for instance.

Do I detect a smidge of hipocrisy here with everyone taking about changing boards, chips and having to get £30 battery packs for their 'top end' loaders to work properly

Anyhoo back to the original question , if it comes down to budget then an egg would do a good job, if not then Halo,Reloader or Vlocity.

Though if our chap here has a nice new shiney marker then I guess he should have a nice new shiney whizzy loader to do it justice :D

Indeed! I had three eggs with (1 y 2 z) and none of them could keep up with psp mode on my EGO, they would for short bursts, maybe 2-3 seconds then stutter and burst again.

I use a Vlocity jnr now and have no probs with ramping! However it does eat batterys like no ones business (a new set every day of play/training)

fair point, but they are personal preference.
Stock there is nothing to NEED to change.
the mod you describe is nigh on REQUIRED to make the thing not crap out mid game.

edit: to blaance my point somwhat, ill admit to having a delrin rip wheel and drive cone on my reloader, as the stock ones are flimsy. see im not all raging anti egg tyrant!

Damn Egg and Ion bashers! :D

I'll have to get round to doing the battery mod on my egg, holds together well enough but can be a bitch to get the door closed properly(so it doesn't fall open)
