Ok thanks for the help, but still not sure which bolt to get lolThe Tech Level 7 is a good bolt. I've run one in 2 of my Ions and noticed a big reduction in kick, and required Dwell compared to standard bolt. One weak point is the smaller inner bolt stop ring, which if even slightly worn will cause a leak down the barrel. Also the hollow bolt face can allow paint to fall back in breech, leading to miss-reads on the eyes.

Another one I've tried is the Deadlywind hollowpoint. One of the lightest available, but difficult to track down in the UK. The centre stalk holds paint against the back of the detents, just like a Bob Long pillow bolt - avoiding roll back issues.

I would also recommend Kila magnetic detents
Ok, thanks alot But would the l7 bolt be good for my ION or would you advise something better? If you mean...
4. Firing can, such as a lucky stage 2. Better venting plus larger volume = lower pressure.
5. Donut such as a lucky stage 3. Better venting.
AFAIK Lucky Ion parts are not in production any more. Best bet is to watch out for used parts on ebay or forums. I got a Lucky can & board for one of mine that way.
There's a few L7 reviews here...Ok, thanks alot But would the l7 bolt be good for my ION or would you advise something better?
