hell if you had that good a time you can have another one.wahey, back from a 1 day ban for DTOTW.... and i enjoyed every second of my life withing my ban!
i found a genies lamp, stroked a woolly mammoth and ate a battered mars bar... it did great things for me did that prize

Forgive me for asking, but it seems like so many people are getting banned for breaking silly rules, and sometimes for no reason with the DTOTW being a kind of forum game. The point is it all seems a waste of time on the part of the mods with their new toys, and isn't really helping the p8ntballer community by chucking people out instead of bringing them in.
Banning may be funny the mod and sometimes the rest of us, but if someone is supporting the forum by way of membership or adding their opinion, reading the sponsor's adverts and so on, it's not very positive to go round banning those people for stepping slightly out of line.
Fair enough WGP4Life seemed a bit of a tit and may have deserved his ban, and over at PBNation there is a lot of bans, but they are usually for racism, bullying or flame wars. I doubt the likes of Darkstranger, Magic_8ball etc, need to be shown the power of the mod's banstick when deleting a post or thread with a warning would be just fine.
but that's just my '2p

Your point is interesting. You talk about silly rules and chucking people out. Silly rules? if you dont like the rules then dont stick around quite honestly. There are at present only 5 people banned.
3 by me and two by baca.
Revolt: he was voted off in ban of the week. Ban of the week has a great tradition going back years.
i cant shoot straight - posted a link in a thread where the thread starter had been banned for breaking the rules about posting weekend topics during the week. He was banned for the same reason.
Magic_8ball - see above.
Paintballninja - broke the rules. Dunno which ones but baca said he did so he must of done.
Andyrik was a little too cocky in his talking. He got a cheeky/silly one, ill admit it.
All but two of these bans are for 2 or less days. Thats it. The other two one is for a week (revolt and Magic_8balls was 2 days but baca extended it, as is his right to do so.
Most people realise that were poking fun at them and the users we have picked on are well established users who have been around a while. Not newbies. They are also banned for breaking the rules. (for the most part) If the rules weren't in place then it would degenerate into a PBnation style forum. I dont want that and im sure you dont.
If you dont like it then you know where to go. The rules are there for a reason. Like it or lump it. I sure as fu*k aint here to make friends.
And for my last point....
who the f*ck are you to question the mods? Are you an advertiser? Are you putting forward an official complaint?
edit: i should also point out that this was going on before myself and gassy came on the scene. Now there are more mods checking the forums everyday, and so more people are getting banned quite justly. It is up to the users to obey the rules and up to the mods to enforce those rules.
